Most of the pins were photographed with a Canon  PowerShot 75. I set the camera on a tripod and used available light from a south facing window. I used a super slow shutter speed and the macro setting (little flower icon) and got great detail. Some shots had lot of glare so I used a piece of white printer paper to diffuse the light. I cropped in PhotoShop Elements and when it was time to save, I used the "Save for Web" feature, this allowed for large photos that don't bog down the load time. Some pins were also scanned and edited in PhotoShop Elements.
