Alani Leod A 7" beaded Tree goddess created for the Upper Midwest Bead Society Bead Challenge. Alani means "Orange Tree" in Hawaiian and "Leod" is Scottish, meaning ugly. The idea behind the challenge is that everyone received the same set of beads, which was a very unusual combination and a bit of a struggle to work with. Here are the winning entries. In a private collection.
