You
said “Gardening Angel”, right? Ok,
I know it’s supposed to be a “Guardian Angel” but I live in The
doll form is my own pattern, done in hand dyed cotton fabric. The beads are
Czech and Japanese. I used a basic backstitch to attach almost all the beads,
except around the face, that is peyote. The face is a polymer clay cabochon made
from my own mold and painted with High Desert Poly Glaze. The wings are
commercially made muslin that were painted with Dy Na Flow and Lumiere paints. I
used Candlelight yarn for the metallic embroidery. She is
just about 7” tall, with a wing span of 4”. Featured in the Summer 2005 issue of Quilting Arts. In a private collection.
